It’s one of the ways she shows her love, my Lilah. She cleans ears.
She’ll start with one of Tucker or Jasper’s ears, then move to the other. Nothing halfway for Dr. Lilah.
The boys stand or sit or lie patiently, often with eyes half closed as their sister attends to them.
It almost looks like she’s whispering to them, telling them secrets shared among dogs.
It’s an intimate moment of caring, and one that touches me every time.
Afterwards, a nuzzle and a wag of thanks, and everyone’s off to chase sticks or bark at squirrels.
How do your pets show they care for each other?
